How to make an omelet that is perfect

Omelets have always been a favourite food to eat for breakfast. But how do you create them perfectly? I've tried many recipes and different methods but none have worked. Today, I'd like to share some tips with you in order to make delicious and fluffy omelets every day.

First, eggs can be very temperamental ingredients for making omelets. Eggs must be purchased fresh, preferably organic, and kept chilled until ready for cooking. They must be kept cool, otherwise the whites will not form properly and the yolks may become runny. This can make your omelets look bizarrely colored. If you're going to cook them immediately, it is best if the eggs are still warm.

Another tip is to separate each egg before adding them to the saucepan. You don't want any white to get mixed up with the yolk because this could cause the omelet to curdle.

The bottom part of an egg that is added directly to the stovetop might be burned, which could cause a ruined texture in your omelet. Instead, microwave the egg for 10 seconds before adding it to the pan. The microwave heat cooks the eggs just right without overcooking them.

Next, let’s talk about mixing the egg. Mix eggs well together. You can do this by turning the bowl of your mixer upside down. Next, shake the bowl vigorously. The egg will be thoroughly mixed in the bowl as the air is whipped.

Now comes the fun part: adding the milk to your mixture. Fold the eggs in the milk mixture by first pouring half of it into the egg whites. Do not worry if you see streaks of egg; they will disappear when the omelet is flipped.

After you have done folding the eggs, heat the pan on medium heat. The oil will start to smoke. Once the oil begins to heat, add 1/4 cup butter and swirl the pan to coat it. Now carefully crack open the lid of the pan and sprinkle salt into the pan. An additional pinch of salt will prevent the omelet form sticking to your pan.

Cover the pan once the omelet is formed and allow it to cool completely. Use a spatula to flip the omelet or turn the pan upside-down. Cook the opposite side for another minute. Take the omelet out of the pan and immediately serve.

This recipe works best using whole milk. Skimmed milk is also possible.
